Conus Landscape Architecture was engaged by the Stevens Group to provide landscape design for the latest estate at their residential subdivision The Vintage.
The Vintage is a vast established high-end residential housing community centered around a Greg Norman-designed 18 hole international golf course. This subdivision has a high level of landscape treatment as it is governed by an architectural design guideline.
Working closely with the Project Manager ADW Johnson, Conus Landscape Architecture’s involvement was from concept development and construction documentation through to construction supervision. It was constructed in 2 stages. The 1st stage and main entry features a sandstone-clad masonry blade wall either side of a cobbled vehicular threshold, street tree plantings, retention of a large feature Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculata) with associated feature low circular sandstone-clad blade wall and plantings, secondary entry corner treatments to Stage 2, several community open spaces with meandering pathways through groves of existing trees.
The main entry double blade walls at the end of a double avenue planting of Ornamental Flowering Pears tie-in with similar sandstone-clad masonry entry walls of previous estates in The Vintage whilst providing a strong sense of arrival with a rural theme and views of the golf course.
